Dr. Adeyemi Sanyade Johnson is a seasoned interventional cardiologist. He is the Medical Director and Chief Executive Officer of First Cardiology Consultants, the leading cardiology medical center in Nigeria. In July 2009, Dr. Johnson made history by performing the first Cardiac Catheterization and Coronary Angiogram in Nigeria. He continues to deliver clinical and scientific presentations on cardiovascular disease at national and international meetings.
He graduated from the College of Medicine University of Lagos in 1980. He began his postgraduate training at Yale University New Haven Connecticut USA where he was enrolled in the Masters in Public health and Preventive Medicine program. He then did an Internal Medicine Residency training program as well as a Cardiovascular Disease fellowship training program at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University New York.
He became a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1987 and Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine- Cardiovascular disease Subspecialty in 1989.
